Samos® par Puca® oval beads offer a sophisticated two-hole design precisely engineered for complex beadweaving projects requiring high dimensional accuracy. These 5x7mm glass components feature a uniform 0.8mm hole size, ensuring a smooth glide for beading needles size 10-12 during multiple thread passes through the bead. The matte metallic finish provides a non-reflective, velvety texture that adds professional depth to structural jewelry designs and 3D woven objects.

French designer Annick Puca developed these unique shapes to serve as architectural building blocks, often used in conjunction with Arcos® par Puca® beads to create elaborate floral or geometric surrounds. Manufactured in the Czech Republic from high-quality pressed glass, Samos® par Puca® beads maintain consistent tolerances essential for framing a Cabochon® par Puca®. For a striking contrast, pair with vibrant amethyst purple or deep siam red accents to highlight the subtle golden sheen.

Structural stability in woven pieces is achieved by combining these oval elements with smaller Preciosa seed beads, which fill the gaps between the curved edges and secure the alignment. For best results in rigid ornaments or wire-wrapped designs, these beads can also be used with jewelry wire to create lasting shapes. The dual parallel holes allow for intricate interlocking patterns when layered with other shapes like Minos® par Puca®, Télos® par Puca®, or Delos® par Puca®.
