Engineered with three parallel holes, this shape offers exceptional stability for multi-dimensional bead weaving and structural jewelry designs. Professional beaders will appreciate the consistent hole alignment and smooth internal finish, which allows for multiple thread passes through the bead using S-lon FIRE or similar high-tenacity nylon threads. Originating from the exclusive Les Perles par Puca® collection, this bead embodies the synergy between French design and traditional Czech glassmaking craftsmanship. Artist Annick Puca designed these Czech glass beads specifically to interlock and nest with other shapes in the range, such as Amos® par Puca®, providing endless possibilities for creating intricate geometric patterns. For a striking contrast, pair with turquoise accents or maintain a harmonious palette by combining them with fuchsia and crystal clear tones.
Which threads are recommended for use with Athos® par Puca® beads?
We recommend using S-lon FIRE or nylon N-series threads (0.11 mm or 0.09 mm) as they provide the strength and flexibility needed for multiple thread passes through the bead holes.
What is the hole diameter of these beads and how many thread passes can I make?
The three parallel holes are approximately 0.8 mm in diameter, which comfortably accommodates classic beading needles size 10-12 and allows for several passes of thin beading thread.
